Business Focused Development is a high-performing technology area of AppleOne's client that is focused on strategic application development for the Claim suite of software products.

Claim IT is in search of a self-motivated, information technology professional to join the team. This individual will be responsible for participating in and providing software development and expertise to multiple applications, including application design, software development, performance, implementation, and infrastructure. This role will participate in technical implementation of in house software development as well as integration of vendor purchased products.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

* 2 - 5 years of design and development experience

* 2 - 5 years Microsoft .NET experience

* Experience with .NET Framework 3.5 and/or 4.0, XML, AJAX

* Experience with ASP.NET and VB.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery

* Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)

* Ability to rapidly learn technical and business concepts

* Commitment to high quality work and timely deliverables

* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and partners required

* Excellent problem analysis and problem solving skills

* Ability to present technical concepts to technical and business audiences desired

* Effective written communication, verbal communication, and facilitation skills

* Mentoring ability a plus

* Automated Unit Testing and TDD would be a plus

Primary Duties:

Perform Software Development to support Claim Systems possibly including the Claim Platform and supporting software products, as well as third party products.

Participate in Design and Development efforts, including estimation, work breakdown, and technical resource allocation needs

Engineer and integrate solutions to a point of production readiness, including all documentation, testing, deployment and support procedures to meet requirements and service levels

Ensure solution design is in alignment with Enterprise guidelines, meets business expectations, performance SLAs, architectural standards, and meets or surpasses quality benchmarks.

Deliver a solution that meets functional specifications , performance SLAs, and architectural standards

Communicate and enforce best practices, standards, and tools for Design and Build

Willingness to learn and become proficient at software engineering methods and tools.

Experience/Skills Required:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline preferred.

Effective written communication, verbal communication, and facilitation skills.

Experience in Software Development and Data Modeling is a plus.

Experience in use case analysis, design analysis, UML diagramming is a plus
