Job SummaryAs a Bakery Associate Team Leader at Whole Foods Market, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our bakery department. This position is responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects. You will also be responsible for leading and developing Team Members, ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.Key Responsibilities

• Store Layout and Merchandising: Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising to drive sales and customer engagement.
• Sales and Labor Management: Work with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, analyzing sales reports and labor data to inform business decisions.
• Product Knowledge and Vendor Relationships: Develop and maintain advanced product knowledge, staying up-to-date on new products and offerings, and maintaining good vendor relationships to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, develop, and motivate Team Members, providing coaching and feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
• Customer Service and Experience: Foster a positive and welcoming environment for customers, responding promptly to customer needs and questions, and directing Team Members to ensure excellent customer service.
• Operational Excellence: Set and achieve high standards of retail execution, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient store environment.Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
