of IT Configuration, Price & Quote will be responsible for
providing business process and technology leadership to transform
and digitalize CPQ function. This leader will report to the VP-IT,
Americas and Commercial Transformation.The OpportunityThe Senior
Director of IT Configuration, Price & Quote (CPQ) will be
responsible for providing business process and technology
leadership to transform and digitalize CPQ function at Medtronic.
In close partnership with business leadership across the Commercial
Transformation Operating Unit (CTX OU) and Regional commercial
leadership teams, this role will be responsible for creating
strategy, setting priorities, and delivering technology solutions
to remove friction from sales and customer interaction during
contracting and quoting processes. This leader will be responsible
for understanding current complex technology architecture and
driving simplification one project at a time.Reporting to the Vice
President of IT Americas & Commercial Transformation, this role
will be part of Americas and Commercial Transformation leadership
team and will ensure alignment across their peers and will be able
to work across matrix organizations of Enterprise Architecture,
Data Platform, Master Data Management, SAP COE, and Infrastructure
& Operations organizations. This role will be end to end
accountable for Plan/Build/Run functions of this Value
Stream.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties
as assigned:
- Partner with Commercial Operations Pricing and Contracting COE
Leader on technology strategic roadmaps and enable delivery
achievement of business goals of the COE.
- Accountable for all IT matters to proactively support the COE.
(direct & indirect team)
- In partnership with OUs, Global functions, and center lead IT
teams, ensures implementation and execution of information
technology strategies.
- Provides solutions through digital product innovation, creation
and management of new IT products.
- Responsible for and/or serves as IT liaison for all IT
portfolio aspects, such as prioritization of projects and return of
investments management.Special Technical Areas of Focus include:
- Pricing technologies (including Vendavo, Vistex)
- Contract management technologies
- Automation and Simplification of Pricing and Contracting
processes
- Process and Solution ArchitectureAdditional Responsibilities:
- Portfolio and Project Management
- Vendor Management across Software and Services providers
- Financial management to drive projects within budget while
delivering ROI
- Budget management
- Responsible for all plan, build, and run capabilities in this
Value Stream
- Responsible for team leadership, performance management
- Ability to "Lead from Front" to enable industry leading CPQ
capabilities
- Ability to manage conflict and provide feedback for improved
execution.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: B.S. or B.A. DegreeYears
of Experience:
- 12+ years progressive leadership experience in IT / CPQ
- Experience in holding people and organizations accountable to
meeting established standards.
- Experience in a highly technical &/or regulated
industry.Specialized Knowledge Required:
- Ability to cultivate an environment focused on customer
satisfaction through building productive external and internal
relationships
- Ability to build strong partnerships across the organization
and influence strategy and decision making.
- Ability to analyze customer needs through soliciting,
evaluating and acting on customer feedback and turn that into a
technology strategy
- Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization and
orchestrate sales enablement capabilities across Global
Regions
- Ability to attract, retain and develop a highly skilled

locations (USD): $198,400.00 - $297,600.00. This position is
eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive
Plan (MIP). This position is eligible for an annual long-term
incentive plan. The base salary range is applicable across the
United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in
California. The offered rate complies with federal and local
regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience,
certification/education, market conditions, and location.About
