Description:KEB America, Inc. has an open opportunity to join
our Engineering dept. as Mechanical Engineering Design Drafter.This
position is responsible for creating and maintaining engineering
CAD models, assemblies, drawings, and data within the company ERP
system.
The Engineering Design Drafter will be challenged through diverse
work on a wide range of products. Product configuration management
will also play an important role in support of the engineering
team.There will be opportunities for:1) Design work pertaining to
product validation and production of the devices2) Detail-oriented
work with an eye for accuracy, and good organizational skills.3)
Being self-motivated to look for solutions and improvements in the
product configuration and design process.4) Working closely along
with the engineering team as well as other departments to complete
tasks involving changemanagement, product manufacturing, and
labeling of devices.5) Act as a trainer for Solidworks in the
department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job
successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily.Creates, manages, and maintains CAD models,
assemblies and drawingsCreates and manages new materials within the
company ERP systemManages and maintains bills of materials and
material statusesDefines, analyzes, and implements changes for
change managementDesigns validation fixtures, assemblies, and
models for productionSupports manufacturing of devices by having an
in depth understanding of how they go together.Supports engineering
in labeling of devices to support standards.Trains fellow
colleagues in Solidworks

processes and assists in the creation and maintenance of existing

specifications and design standards (DIN. SAE. ANSI etc.)Acquires
detailed knowledge of the products that are produced by the
companySupports new products with an in-depth understanding of how
they are built and provides help to other

Education / Experience2 Year Technical or Associates degree with
emphasis on technical drawing or draftingExperience with production
configuration managementPrevious work experience of 3+ years work
related experience in a similar position preferred
Licenses, Permits, and CertificationsSolidworks Certifications
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAdvanced computer skillsBasic math
skillsAbility to follow instructions accuratelyAbility to do
accurate work at a rapid pacePossesses proficient oral and written
